The Edgewater Hotel
Madison, WI
Located on the shores of Lake Mendota, The Edgewater is just down the street from the Capital Square, the heart of downtown Madison. The restored property maintains the classic façade of the 1948 building, now called The Langdon Building, and a new tower, The Wisconsin Building - all with new interiors, several restaurants, spa, ballrooms, and a large plaza that connects both hotel guests and the public to the lake.
The project involved a dynamic, mixed-use design concept. The design intent was to seamlessly blend the original building, the 1972 lakefront addition, and the 2013-14 addition. The brick and finish were picked to match the previous buildings.
